About the Role

As the Head of Sales and Customer Success at Pugpig USA, you’ll be working with some of the world’s leading media brands on all things digital publishing. You’ll be driving all business development in the USA, while leading a small team of customer success managers and onboarding specialists. You’ll also be growing the sales team as you are able to generate more demand for our platform in the USA. We’ve recently restructured the company to enable us to grow, so it’s a really exciting time to join us. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Drive license sales of our core product throughout the USA
  • Research, identify and initiate dialogue with prospective clients 
  • Create and conduct proposal presentations and RFP responses 
  • Advance clients through the sales process and close sales
  • Work alongside the PS and Product teams to scope and cost client projects
  • Develop negotiation strategies and lead in contract negotiations with clients
  • Work with the Marketing Manager to generate leads for the US market and assist in the development of marketing plans
  • Promote Pugpig at conferences and other events to drive sales
  • Recruit the best Sales execs, Customer Success Managers and Onboarding specialists
  • Line manage a small local team, creating a strong team culture, conducting regular 1-1s and team meetings, ensuring decisions, plans, goals are shared, and that issues are resolved in a timely manner
  • Lead by example when necessary, by taking a hands-on approach with clients, demonstrating to your direct reports what best-in-class looks like both in terms of operational effectiveness and client communication
  • Work closely with our product team to ensure our customers’ needs and ideas are fed into the process as we develop new features
  • Work closely with the Customer Revenue Director to identify opportunities for growth within accounts

About you:

  • You have 3-5 years business development experience with a B2B SaaS tech platform
  • Proven ability and successful track record in a target driven, high value sales environment
  • Experience presenting high value propositions, presentations and RFP responses verbally and in writing
  • You’re an entrepreneurial thinker with a proactive approach to developing new business relationships.
  • Self motivated and able to work independently
  • Experience in managing, growing and getting the best out of a team
  • You love speaking to customers and understanding and solving their problems, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • You’re happy working in a busy, buzzy environment and are adept at juggling multiple priorities and happy to get your hands dirty
  • You are detail oriented and delivery focused
  • You’re tech savvy and have a genuine interest in software and products
