revista piauí has launched a new Pugpig Bolt app, bringing its long-form journalism, podcasts, video and magazine editions together in one place. Personalised feeds, offline reading and native audio make it easier to discover and enjoy piauí’s content every day.
7th October 2026
revista piauí, Brazil’s popular monthly magazine of long-form journalism, essays and culture, has launched a new app on Pugpig Bolt.
Founded in 2006 by documentary filmmaker João Moreira Salles, piauí’s audience is mobile-first, with 65% of users already accessing its content via mobile. The new app builds on those existing mobile habits, making it easier for readers to return to piauí’s journalism regularly, with subscription conversion as a natural next step.

piauí’s podcasts are available directly in the app, including Foro de Teresina, its political podcast with 110K downloads per episode. Streaming through Bolt’s native audio player, the audio tab makes it easy to fit piauí’s content into users’ daily routines, even when reading doesn’t suit the moment.
Over in the video section, users can watch YouTube Shorts or longer video content, encouraging longer sessions and giving even more reasons to come back to the app.
Powered by Follow, our personalisation functionality, the My piauí tab lets readers build a personalised feed around their favourite authors. They can also save articles to come back to later.
The editions tab gives subscribers access to the current issue and the full back catalogue of over 230 editions, all available to download for offline reading. A reading progress indicator shows which articles they’ve read in each edition, making it easy to pick up where they left off.
The revista piauí app is now available to download on iOS and Android.
