SpaceNews has launched its first mobile app on Pugpig Bolt, bringing podcasts, virtual events and personalised feeds to 1m+ monthly readers.

SpaceNews, the go-to source for professionals working in and following the space industry, has launched its first mobile app on Pugpig Bolt. This is the latest title to go live through our partnership with Newspack.

Founded in 1989 with a monthly audience of over 1 million visitors, SpaceNews now has a new owned channel designed to grow and retain its subscriber base.

Audio and video are key engagement drivers for the app. Users can catch up on SpaceNews podcasts through Bolt’s native audio player, making it easy to keep up with expert interviews and industry analysis as part of their daily routine.

The same goes for virtual events. Expert roundtables and discussions that previously only existed as browser links now have a permanent home, turning one-time event content into an always-available resource.

The My SpaceNews tab, powered by Bolt’s Follow feature, lets readers shape their own feed around specific trending topics and sectors, from the latest SpaceX news to China’s developing space industry and more. The app reflects those choices on every visit, making it a daily essential for readers who need to stay current in their part of the sector.
